Set on 23 acres adjacent to I-95, this small zoo is home to more than 400 animals representing 128 different species. Outstanding among the 22 endangered and threatened species are the white Bengal tiger, Florida panther and golden lion tamarin. None of the animals displayed here were captured in the wild-some were borrowed from other zoos, some were donated, and others were placed here by wildlife officials. A short boardwalk nature trail (.25mi) leads through lush tropical foliage.
