The Governor's Palace, built in 1722, was the most impressive building of its era in the colonies. Elegant woodwork and period furnishings grace this elaborate reconstruction; there's an incomparable ornamental display of 18C firearms in the entrance Hall of Armor and along the broad paneled stairway leading to the second floor. The lovely building is surrounded by 10 acres of formal gardens including a fun boxwood maze.
