The Oconaluftee Visitor Center is located at Great Smoky Mountains National Park's south entrance on US-441 in Cherokee, NC. After driving south down the Blue Ridge Parkway, begin your visit here, at the southern entrance to the Great Smokies, where wall panels chronicle area logging in the 19C. Mountain Farm Museum, adjacent to the visitor center, showcases a restored early-19C mountain homestead.
