Located east of the village of Oyster Bay on Cove Neck Rd., this gracous mansion (1885) was the home of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, from 1885 until his death in 1919. The home was used as a "Summer White House" during Roosevelts's term of office (1902-1908), and is maintained as it was during that period. The 23-room Queen Anne structure retains more than 90 percent of the family's original furnishings. After the guided tour tour you can take in exhibits in the Old Orchard Museum on the grounds.
