Encompassing some 4,000 acres on the bluffs above the York River, this park preserves the battlefield for the last major battle of the American Revolution that secured independence for the United States. The park visitor center features exhibits and the 16min docudrama Siege at Yorktown, detailing Gen. George Washington's crucial victory here over Lord Cornwallis in October 1781.
