Rising south of downtown like a miniature Mayan pyramid, this impressive complex combines a visual-arts museum with a library, genealogy center, restaurant, meeting areas and other facilities. Museum exhibits, rotating every 3-6 months, focus on Hispanic art and culture, from 18C-19C retablos, to the works of contemporary artists, to photographs of "low riders.
