On Bellingham Bay, this large marina area is fronted by working terminal and administrative buildings related to the city's maritime industry. The small Marine Life Center holds several touch pools with anemones, starfish and other marine life. In summer months, Island Mariner Cruises offers daylong wildlife-watching cruises and shorter sunset cruises, both aimed at spying whales and other marine mammals (depart from 5 Harbor Esplanade).
