Journey to the Colorado Springs area, where you'll visit the United States Air Force Academy and the Garden of the Gods. Then, make an ascent up Pikes Peak in specially equipped vehicles.
Start the day with a tour of the United States Air Force Academy, including a stop at the spectacular Cadet Chapel. From the academy, the driver heads for Colorado Springs, skirting the Rampart Range on the way. Then, enjoy a drive through the world-famous Garden of the Gods, a park featuring breathtaking red sandstone formations with whimsical names describing their fantastic shapes; the "Kissing Camels" is one of the most popular photo opportunities.
After lunch, board specially equipped vehicles for the journey to the top of 14,110-foot Pikes Peak. From the mountaintop, you can see for hundreds of miles in all directions, so don't forget your camera!
