Ferndale : Michelin's recommendations

Danish and other European immigrants began a dairy industry here in 1852. The village became a State Historic Landmark in the early 1960s due to preservation efforts of residents who restored the Victorian architecture along Main Street. Built in 1899, the Gingerbread Mansion is characteristic of the “butterfat” palaces constructed by prosperous citizens.
