Each evening, at the main entrance to the Mirage, facing the Strip, a rumbling sound begins, fog appears, and a violent volcano shoots smoke and fire 100 feet above the lagoon that lies at its base. It spews fire every 30 minutes from sunset until midnight. Each display lasts about two minutes (note: volcano shows are cancelled if it's too windy).
