(Hollywood legend maintains the design was suggested by recording stars Nat King Cole and Johnny Mercer.) The beacon light on top blinks out H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D in Morse code. Framed gold records won for best-selling recordings by Capitol Records artists are on display in the lobby.
