The museum offers a survey of the natural history, anthropology and art of California’s deserts. Exhibits in the Central Gallery include Native American basketry, Asian art (collected by actor William Holden), and furniture and bronze sculptures by actor George Montgomery. The Natural Science wing introduces geology, flora and fauna. On the upper level is a 15ft glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly.
