Located on the road to Hurricane Ridge, the main visitor center is the best place to stock up on information about the sites in Olympic National Park. In addition to providing free maps and brochures, the center has a 12min slide show introducing visitors to the park's diverse habitats, and exhibits on the area's natural and human history. Remnants of old-growth forest can be seen on the Peabody Creek Trail, an easy .5mi loop that begins next to the visitor center.
