Port Angeles Fine Arts Center : Michelin's recommendations
A small gem of Northwest architecture, the Fine Arts Center occupies a semicircular Modernist house designed by Seattle architect Paul Hayden Kirk and built in 1951 for Esther Barrows Webster, a local artist who became editor of the town's newspaper. The house sits on a bluff overlooking Port Angeles and has a circular sculpture garden planted around a towering madrona tree. Regular exhibits feature the work of Northwest artists. Five acres of forested grounds include trails with marine and mountain views.
