The only memorial to Abraham Lincoln west of the Mississippi River, this small, octagonal structure displays samples of one of the largest collections of Lincoln memorabilia outside of Washington DC and Springfield, Illinois. On display are several manuscripts written by Lincoln, Civil War-era weaponry and a marble bust of "Honest Abe" by George Barnard. The shrine's exterior is inscribed with quotations from Lincoln's speeches. Interior paintings interpret events in the life of the 16th president via allegorical symbols.
