Hugging the harbor within sight of the downtown skyline, this popular, 14-acre complex of one- and two-story New England- and Mediterranean-style buildings connected by cobblestone pathways unites gift shops, restaurants and a waterside boardwalk. The historic carousel, moved here in 1980, was originally built in 1890 by Charles I.D. Looff, who also created carousels in Santa Monica and Long Beach.
