Mela Tandoori Kitchen recently moved to this fresh location and it is quickly becoming a favored spot for the ubiquitous lunch buffet. Dinnertime is quieter, (the non-residential streets empty out, except for that odd homeless person), but those who come will enjoy the wonderful selection of Indian and Pakistani dishes found here, amid a flashy décor of multi-hued striped walls with bright accents and colorful tablecloths. The kitchen employs halal as well as zabihah meats that are prepared and massaged with bold spices. In fact, dishes like an intensely tangy and spicy prawn vindaloo; or delicious spice-coated pasanda beef paired with a charred chili-cheese naan might just be some of the spiciest South Asian dishes available around town.
