Chinese Historical Society of America Museum : Michelin's recommendations
The home of the Chinese Historical Society of America is a 1932 red-brick YWCA building designed by famed architect Julia Morgan. A pair of pagoda-like towers rise above a roofline crenellated with imported Chinese tiles, and a cast-stone arch with leaded glazing surmounts the double entrance doors. The main gallery tells the story of the Chinese in America with photographs and artifacts. Two other rooms have rotating art and history exhibits.
