Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall
Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall : Michelin's recommendations
In contrast to the Beaux-Arts public buildings of Civic Center, this modern structure (1980, Edward Bassett) features a curving glass facade that reveals the lobby areas of the 2,743-seat hall. It is home to the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. The elegant bronze sculpture Large Four Piece Reclining Figureat the plaza entrance is by Henry Moore. Fletcher Benton's Balanced Unbalanced faces Franklin Street from Goldman Terrace.
