North Beach Museum : Michelin's recommendations

This small, bank-sponsored museum highlights North Beach's multiethnic heritage through changing displays and photo exhibits of the Chinese and Italian communities in the late 19C and early 20C. The museum features an 11-panel photographic panorama of San Francisco in 1877 by Eadweard Muybridge, as well as an especially fine collection of photos of North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf and Telegraph Hill during and after the 1906 temblor. Especially worth noting is Lawrence Ferlinghetti's handwritten poem "The Old Italians Dying".
