One of Chinatown’s best-known and -loved landmarks, this small temple houses a mah-jongg parlor, an eclectic mix of altars (think: money, oranges and even dim sum) and other evidence of the local faiths and culture. The 1852 building (Chinatown’s oldest) is still in use for religious observance, so visitors can look around, but taking photographs is not permitted.
