A founder of the Taos Society, painter Ernest L. Blumenschein (1874-1960) first visited Taos in 1898; he moved here in 1919. His adobe home, built in 1797, demonstrates the artist's lifestyle. The collection includes works by Blumenschein and his wife, illustrator Mary Greene Blumenschein, accented by European and Hispanic antiques and pieces by other Taos Society artists.
