Before he moved to Taos in 1927, Nikolai Fechin (1881-1955) had secured a reputation in his native Russia and in New York as a renaissance man. Securing a huge adobe home, Fechin embellished it with hand-carved doors, furniture, and wood trim to reflect a Russian country home. His paintings, sculptures and drawings are on display inside.
