Paved, patrolled and very popular, Yakima's Greenway meanders along the banks of the Yakima and Naches rivers for more than 10mi, passing through riverine forests and offering good vistas of the volcanic hills and bluffs around town. Suitable for bikes, in-line skates, strollers and wheelchairs, the pathway connects the city's riverside parks, leads to interesting natural areas, and takes in several excellent playgrounds and swimming areas. The route extends from Harlan Landing (north end of 16th Ave.) to Valley Mall Boulevard south of town, but there are many intermediate access points that make it possible to enjoy short outings or to reach specific sites.
