This local history museum preserves historic buildings that once stood in various locations throughout the island, including the former county jail, a milk house, a 19C log cabin and weatherboard barn, a carriage house and stone root cellar. A 19C clapboard farmhouse is furnished in period style and exhibits local memorabilia. The resource center houses rotating exhibits and research facilities.
