Things to see and do - Haiphong
Leaving for Vietnam
Haiphong Travel guide
Haiphong : Michelin's recommendations
With over a million inhabitants, Haiphong in the Red River Delta is now one of the country’s largest ports and industrial centres. After the American bombings of the 60s and 70s, it has taken several decades to bring this pleasant, lively city back to its former glory. Although it boasts no sights of major interest, it has several districts and monuments which merit a visit here. These include the old colonial city, the artisans’ quarter, the Hang Kenh dinh (communal house) and Du Hang pagoda.
