The traditional temple representation has become a show in its own right and the Hanoi Troupe has embarked on a number of world tours. The puppeteers, hidden behind the stage, move their puppets on the water by means of bamboo poles, and the whole performance is accompanied by an orchestra. These magical performances are staged by several different troupes in Hanoi.
