Standing in the middle of a verdant garden, the Giac Lam pagoda rises majestically above the skyline of Ho Chi Minh City. Within the confines of the temple, visitors can view a cemetery, a 7-storey tower and two impressive statues. Inside the pagoda itself, the sumptuous decor includes an incredible number of wood sculptures. A perfect representation of Vietnamese art, both in terms of its architecture and ornamentation, the pagoda, dating from 1744, is one of the oldest and most remarkable in the city.
