Built in 1601, Thien Mu Pagoda (Pagoda of the Celestial Lady) houses the three Buddhas of the Past, Present and Future, all of which are made of shining copper. Also worshipped at the pagoda are Von Thu, the goddess of Wisdom and Intelligence, and Pho Hien, the god of Generosity and Forgiveness. Outside the pagoda, but within the sanctuary enclosure, stands a seven-storey tower, built in 1844 and now one of the emblems of Hué. The tower symbolises the different reincarnations of the Buddha.
