Occupying a superb location on the banks of the Dakbla river in the middle of a mountainous cirque, the small town of Kon Tum boasts a particularly mild climate. The town has a peaceful, mysterious atmosphere and feels very much off the beaten track, with local traditions still practised in its outlying villages. Visitors with time on their hands will enjoy exploring the more remote areas of this province, which offer plenty of opportunities for hiking.
