Occupying a superb location on the banks of the Dakbla river in the middle of a mountainous cirque, the small town of Kon Tum boasts a particularly mild climate. The town has a peaceful, mysterious atmosphere and feels very much off the beaten track, with local traditions still practised in its outlying villages.
