Situated 125km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau attracts city dwellers that come here for the sandy beaches overlooking the South China Sea. Although the buildings along the coast detract somewhat from the overall charm, and the water here is not exactly Blue Flag standard, the resort, surrounded by green hills, nevertheless has a pleasant atmosphere.
