Located along the banks of a secondary branch of the Mekong, in Chau Phong, the Jamiul Azhar mosque is built in a graceful neo-colonial-style architecture, with a minaret crowned by a silver cupola. Take a moment to look at the cemetery, planted with very modest steles in perfect accordance with the Muslim tradition. In the same district, the Mubarak mosque (1km away) is home to a Koranic school.
